Exciting news from Madrid. We’re incredibly honoured that one of our beautiful heritage buildings has been chosen as the host venue for Casa Decor 2026, Spain’s most iconic design fair. From 9 April to 24 May, guests will be able to wander through fifty brilliantly imagined spaces, all brought to life within our historic walls.
The selection reflects the building’s unique blend of history, elegance, and character, from its origins as the palace of the Marqués de los Vélez to its later life as a convent. Its heritage-steeped interiors and central location in the Barrio de las Letras made it the perfect stage for Spain’s premier design event.
This magnificent property will soon join the Sir Hotels family as Sir Agustín, right in the heart of Barrio de las Letras, the neighbourhood once loved by Spain’s Golden Age writers and artists. Once the palace of the Marqués de los Vélez and later a convent. Constructed between 1892 and 1895, has been carefully renovated; its interiors are full of monumental features, combining classical elegance with a wink of mischief.
It will also be home to a future The Cover club and restaurant, offering spaces to meet, sip and enjoy the bright Madrid skyline.
