At our hotels, we’re always looking for ways to make a big difference—for you, our neighbors, and the planet. From cutting waste to partnering with some pretty amazing organizations, our Sustainability team has been hard at work.
As we celebrate Earth Day, we wanted to give you a peek at what our Sustainability team has been up to this year.

Introducing GreenJet: A Step Towards Water Conservation
We introduced GreenJet at Sir Albert, an innovative water-saving nozzle that will help us reduce water consumption without compromising comfort. If successful, GreenJet will be rolled out to all our hotels. In tests, we’ve already seen a 54% reduction in water usage. With 94.4 million liters of water used in 2023 across our hotels, this new step will make a real impact, helping both the environment and our operating costs.

Wings Coin: A New Way to Contribute to Sustainability
Introducing Wings Coin, our new digital system where guests can opt out of daily room cleaning in exchange for a free drink or other rewards. This simple choice helps save water, energy, and cleaning chemicals. Plus, every time a guest opts out, we donate €1.50 to Project Wings, a non-profit that’s building the world’s largest recycling village in Indonesia. Now available at Sir Savigny and Sir Adam, with more hotels coming soon.

Sustainable Amenities: Reducing Waste with Guest Choice
In 2023, over 28,000 pairs of slippers, 11,000 toothbrushes, and 40,000 vanity kits were used across our hotels. To cut down on waste, we’re now offering these amenities upon request. This change will help us reduce excess consumption while also working with HAIL Europe, who uses stone paper packaging to cut plastic waste. Guests can now order the items they actually need, making their stay more sustainable.

Have you stayed at our most eco-friendly hotels?
Max Brown Düsseldorf leads the way in energy efficiency and reduced carbon emissions. When it comes to water conservation, Max Brown Canal District (talk about making a splash) is the top performer.
CSRD: Our Commitment to Transparency
We’re also working on our first Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) report to align with the EU’s efforts for greater corporate transparency and sustainability. This is just the beginning as we continue to integrate even more sustainable practices across our operations.
