At Sir Albert, our hotel located in Amsterdam’s vibrant De Pijp district, we’ve converted our street-level event space a few doors down from the hotel into The Sir Art Studio. Come visit, experience and buy incredible art made by talented local artists, each inspired by “the new normal” we are now in.
We created this new initiative with Amsterdam-based trend forecaster and overall visionary Bionda Sno. With her insider expertise, we assembled an exhibition of artists creatively illuminating this time. This first exhibition is titled “Silence to Society” and on view through May 2021. Each artist created their artworks during lockdown in Europe and were uniquely influenced by the world's unprecedented silence. Shop the art and read more about the exhibition here.
Our aim is to not only bring something inspiring to the neighborhood, but also support local artists. Art is embedded in Sir Hotels' DNA. All six Sir hotels embrace the art and culture of their surrounding location, from displaying impressive artworks to collaborating on events and activations with local creatives.
